Website Template FAQs

  • Once you’ve purchased a template from our shop, you’ll need to set up a Squarespace account, but you don’t need to choose a subscription yet. LC templates include a 6-month free trial so you can have full confidence in your site before paying for your monthly plan.

  • No problem! Squarespace is very user-friendly and your template includes crash course videos to show you the ropes. Each template also includes a set of video walkthroughs so you won’t have to go it alone. If you run into any questions, I'm happy to help.

  • No, you do not need to know any coding to use our templates. Squarespace 7.1 Fluid engine is very similar to drag and drop designing. You do have the ability to add CSS or code injections if you want to, but none of that is necessary for a beautiful, professional website.

  • I'll be happy to help answer any questions about your template. Squarespace has a very extensive help center with tutorials as well. So if your question is about the platform itself, they’ve likely got those answers already covered for you along with an easy-to-follow, step-by-step process.

  • You can import your existing content and transfer your domain after you’ve finished customizing your template. Squarespace has platform-specific guides in the help center to lead you through the switch when you’re ready.

  • If you’re a little apprehensive to get your template set up, I can help with that. I offer a few paid install packages so you can choose what best fits your needs. See Install Packages.

  • Due to the digital nature of our templates, returns and exchanges are not possible. I don’t offer refunds after I've sent out access to your site. All sales are final, but I'm happy to help with any questions you run into along the way.

  • At this point in time, all design templates in the shop are for the Squarespace 7.1 platform only. I don’t currently offer designs for WordPress, Showit, Wix, or any other website platform.

General Template & Shop FAQs

  • Most design templates include both PSD and Canva Versions…

Photoshop Versions: Require Adobe Photoshop to use (the full Photoshop program, not the app). You will receive PSD files of each file, links to download the fonts, and instructions.

Canva Versions: You’ll just need to set up a free account on the Canva website. It is more of a drag-and-drop style editor in your browser. I recommend using the templates via your computer instead of a mobile device for ease of use inside Canva.

Video tutorials and PDF instructions are included with your purchase!

  • Website shop users: You will get an email with your download link right after purchase (within 15 minutes).

Etsy shop users: All products in the shop are instant download. If you order a bundle, your order will be emailed within 24 hours or after I receive your bundle choices.

  • Due to the digital nature of the files, returns and exchanges are not possible. However, if you’re unable to use the template or made a mistake, a refund may be available if you contact me within 3 days of purchase. I’m happy to help if you run into any questions!

  • If you forget to enter your code, I'll be happy to refund you the discounted amount if the offer is still valid.

  • Depending on the final use, I typically can offer a commercial license at the rate of 3x the current template price.

Contact me and I'll get you an invoice for the final amount. Please note that even with a commercial license, templates cannot be resold in an app, design platform, or in a layered digital format.

  • All cards are pretty standard size so you should be able to print with any local printer.

My absolute favorite online printers are Mpix, Millers, or WHCC and often use their guides for things like albums and trifolds.

Be sure to double check the specifications before printing.

  • For Photoshop: Check your version of Photoshop - the full Adobe Photoshop or Elements program (not the app) is required for all PSD templates.

The files will need to be unzipped so it may be easier to open them on a computer instead of a phone/mobile device.

For Canva: If you’re getting an error message, contact me and I’ll send you a new link right away.

  • Sometimes it helps to see the process in action. you can check out the video tutorials page for extra help.

If you're still having difficulty even after watching the videos, send me screenshots of where you're stuck and I can help walk you through it.

  • Yes of course! That's what they were made for.

I only ask that they are used in a service-based format - not for sale in shops, inside an app, or online design software. You/your team must actually be the one(s) making the changes for your clients.

Commercial licenses are available for extended use.

  • Laurie Cosgrove owns the copyright to all templates and freebies. When you purchase a product or download a freebie, you are not purchasing the copyright but a license to use them within set boundaries.

For this reason you cannot copy or share purchased products with anyone other than your employees. If you own multiple computers, you are free to copy products onto the second computer as long as you and your company are the sole users of that product.
