15-Minute DIY Macrame Plant Hangers

15 Minute DIY Macrame Plant Hangers

I'm not super crafty and I have a short attention span. So if I get into a DIY project, it has to be simple enough to do in 20 minutes with minimal artistic talent. This summer I've fallen in love with all things macrame! I'm probably a little late to jump on the macrame boat. But I think that's because I always assumed it would be really complicated and expensive to make. Not so!

I got started with it when I took a quick Macrame class on Skillshare. She told me exactly what to buy and how to do a few easy knots. I learned it in about 15 minutes and then created my first planter in even less time than that.

If you can tie your shoes, you can do macrame. I was shocked by how simple it is. After that first one, I immediately created 4 more. They're perfect for your porch, your office or to give away as gifts. I got everything from Menards and averaged about $6/planter.
